Dr. Malik earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Tver State Medical Academy in Russia in 2011. Her early medical career included clinical experience in India, where she developed a strong foundation in patient care and gained exposure to a broad range of medical conditions. She subsequently continued her professional development in the United States, where she pursued specialized training in pediatrics.

She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), one of the leading academic medical centers in the region. During her training, she developed particular experience in caring for children with complex and chronic medical needs. Following residency, Dr. Malik joined UMMC as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, combining clinical practice with academic medicine and contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
